A success-and-run driver struck and critically injured a 17-year-old bicyclist early Friday in St. Paul’s North End.
Officers were called to the crash near Rice Street and Hoyt Avenue just after midnight.
Police learned that an individual driving a small dark vehicle struck the teenager as he rode his bicycle, said Sgt. Mike Ernster, a police spokesman. The driving force sped off north on Rice Street to Wheelock Parkway, where the vehicle turned and was last seen eastbound.
Paramedics took the teenager to Regions Hospital with a life-threatening injury, Ernster said.
Police asked anyone with information to call the investigator at 651-266-5693.
