Concordia University in St. Paul is absorbing Platt College within the Denver area, a small, for-profit nursing school with a complete enrollment of some 230 students.
Because of this, Concordia’s nursing programs will now be offered on three campuses, including its principal campus in St. Paul, a nursing campus in Portland, Ore., and the brand new location in Greenwood Village, near Denver. Faculty and staff at Platt College will transition to Concordia as their employer, though existing Platt students will proceed their current programs as planned.
Lower than a yr from now, latest students will enroll in Concordia’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, pending final regulatory approval expected next May. The Platt College campus in Denver will probably be rebranded “CSP” by the tip of the yr.
The acquisition doesn’t include a series of Platt College campuses in California. News of the transition was announced this week by Concordia officials and carried on the Platt College website.
