A person was shot within the stomach outside a North End bar late Wednesday afternoon, St. Paul police say.

The victim was transported from the scene at Born’s Bar to Regions Hospital conscious and respiratory. He was expected to survive, in response to police, who said the shooting happened around 5:45 p.m. outside the bar at 899 Rice St.

No suspects had been arrested as of Wednesday evening, and no further details were immediately available.
